Thanksgiving

So thanksgiving has come again this year and it’s got me on edge. Why does everyone got to come together for it like come on, you think everyone wants all their family over? I know I don’t, nothing like seeing Uncle George drunk as hell while mom tries to convince everyone to quiet down for grace. Why does thanksgiving always got to be spent with someone? I think anyone could have a blast just chilling by themselves with a big turkey in front of them. Not to say seeing your family is bad it’s just it shouldn’t be a big deal if you don’t want to.

Another issue I got with thanksgiving is, why the hell is a turkey the main course, let’s be honest most of the time the damn things dry as hell and gravy, while being a good way to counteract the sand that has just entered your mouth, still doesn’t really change the fact that the whole thing is pretty bland tasting. Seriously thanksgiving should just be a day where it doesn’t matter what you eat it’s just got to be a lot. By the way does anyone else think it’s funny how we have a day dedicated basically to becoming obese.

woman's role

What my compare and contrast essay is about is how women are viewed in America compared to china. I go over the social and economic aspects of being a woman in those countries. which include how they are looked at from the countries religion, where they stand politically, and what their role in the house is. There's a bunch more stuff I have researched but I want to make you wait until you actually read it so I don't give everything away. I will tell you this though, America and china are very similar.

Ted talk

Ted Talk Summary and Response

In his talk, Avi Reichental says that 3-d printing will be the future of manufacturing. He then shows the audience examples of ways it can be used to help the public; Showing them pictures of people that had lost legs and gotten them replaced thanks to 3-d printing. He then goes on to show how it could be used to make your own glasses and how NASA was going to use 3-d printing to help build a space shuttle at half the price. At the end of his presentation he shows the audience real life things made from it. Like his shoes, his glasses, and he said soon you could make eatable things with a 3-d printer.

I thought his presentation was pretty cool. I enjoyed the thought of being able to make my own stuff that was designed to perfectly fit me. Also I never knew how much it was actually being used until I watched the video. It was very informative and I enjoyed it
